For seniors who need or desire an extra hand with daily living, we present ‘The Lodge Apartments at Argyle’. The Lodge apartments offer exclusive assisted living within the grounds of the privately owned ‘Argyle Gardens’.
Assisted living at the Lodge apartments is often incorrectly equated with nursing homes and hostels. The Lodge apartments are not an alternative to a nursing home – they are a totally independent style of living for residents who do not require full nursing care but would appreciate the assistance of personal care.
With an impressive 77 apartments including 3 respite rooms, particular attention has been paid to the physical layout and ambience of the Lodge to bring to mind the warmth and easy going familiarity of an extended family. The assisted living precinct of the Lodge features its own dining room where freshly prepared meals are served daily, a cosy sitting area, the nurses’ station and a clinic care room. Lodge Apartment residents may also utilise the numerous facilities and services found in the recreation area of the Lodge and within the resort. Some of these include: visiting professionals consulting room, intimate restaurant, hairdresser, function area, hobby room featuring arts & crafts / sewing and computing, swimming pool with BBQ facilities and onsite pharmacy.
Argyle Lodge Apartment residents enjoy assistance on the everyday side of things including the provision of 3 quality home cooked meals per day, the supply of linen (beds are remade) and the weekly cleaning of their apartment.
In addition to the luxurious apartments, every day assistance and extensive facilities, the Lodge Apartments also offer an exceptional standard of attentive personalised care. The hallmark of this care is the degree to which it can be carefully tailored using additional Personal Care Packages to suit the very special needs of each resident. With no ACAT assessment required, these Personal Care Packages offer residents greater flexibility to stay in their own apartment while receiving extra care tailored to their needs.
For increased peace of mind, a care giver is also present around the clock making assistance and attention in an emergency never more than a few steps away. Further more, each apartment is equipped with a 24 hour emergency call button which can be activated for immediate assistance by the on site staff.
With spacious apartments, access to extensive facilities, assistance with everyday life and the option to carefully tailor personal care, the ‘Lodge Apartments at Argyle’ set the standard for assisted living in Queensland.
The Apartments
The 77 spacious apartments surpass traditional assisted living facilities having been designed with comfortable living in mind. At nearly double the size of comparable apartments, with quality appointments throughout and large patios to enjoy our beautiful Queensland weather they set the benchmark for assisted living. Each of the modern apartments is equipped with a kitchenette and easy access bathroom.

Becoming a Resident
Residents of the Lodge Apartments will have their tenancy totally secured by a 90 year Lease that is registered with the Office of the Registrar of Titles. The Lease purchase price, starting from $125,000 (subject to change), is refundable when a resident leaves the Lodge Apartments and their apartment is resold.
In order to provide such a high level of care, a small exit fee of 30% over five years of the Lease price is payable when your apartment is resold. Fees are of a similar structure to government funded aged care facilities but generally less. It is worth noting that there are no refurbishing fees payable.
Standard assistance to residents of the Lodge apartments at Argyle includes:
- All Meals
Fresh meals are prepared onsite by a team of dedicated cooks and assistants, led by our experienced chef. Special dietary requirements can also be catered for.
- Weekly housecleaning & Linen Exchange
Apartments are cleaned and fresh linen supplied (beds are remade) weekly by the familiar and friendly team at the Lodge Apartments.
- Onsite 24 hour emergency Care
For increased peace of mind, a care giver is present around the clock and each apartment is equipped with a portable 24 hour emergency call button which can be activated for immediate emergency assistance.
- Access to all Facilities
The assisted living precinct of the Lodge features its own dining room where freshly prepared meals are served daily, a cosy sitting area, the nurses’ station and a clinic care room. Residents of the assisted living precinct may also utilise the numerous facilities and services found in the recreation area of the Lodge and within the resort.
These services are provided to residents by Argyle Gardens through a weekly rental payment as follows:
- Single Person
85% of the single aged pension & supplementary allowance
- Two Persons (couple)
85% of total aged pension received & supplementary allowance
- Two Persons (twin)
85% of the single aged pension (per person) & supplementary allowance
The following additional services are available for resident convenience:
- Nursing Clinic
A nursing clinic is held every morning for services such as the changing of dressings, blood pressure checks and blood sugar levels. Dispensing of medications can also be arranged.
- Visiting Professionals
Doctor, pathologist, masseur and solicitor frequently visit the Lodge.
- Hairdresser
A hairdressing salon is located next door to the chemiste.

Personal Care Packages
There may be times when perhaps a little more assistance is required. These needs can often be met by a tailor made personal care package.
To make things a little easier financially, full pensioner residents who require the additional assistance of a personal care package can take advantage of our ‘Deferred Service Cost’ scheme. Please see the manager for further information.
Below are details of the personal care packages. These items can be offered as required in order to carefully tailor personal care packages to suit the special needs of each resident.
The Argyle Total Care Package Cost: $90/week
- Assistance with bathing, showering, dressing and grooming on a daily basis
- Assistance with mobility as required (i.e. to and from apartment to dining room and functions)
- Assistance with medications and dressings
- Bed making daily
- Personal laundry (does not include ironing) twice weekly

Mobility Assistance Cost: $35/week
- Assistance with mobility (i.e. to and from apartment to dining room and functions etc.) as required.
Showering assistance (daily) Cost: $30/week
- Assistance with showering and dressing on a daily basis
Showering assistance (3 x weekly) Cost: $18/week
- Assistance with showering and dressing three times a week
Personal Laundry Cost: $9/load
- Personal laundry (does not include ironing) The above are examples of the standard additional assistance offered by the Lodge Apartments however we are flexible and will offer assistance wherever possible in order to accommodate the individual needs of each resident. Additional services cost $4/15mins.
